为使磨床砂轮准确切割、保证表面的光滑性和部件几何外形的正确性，需要预防磨削过程中的振动。
磨削过程中出现振动，其主要原因是砂轮的不平衡。常见的原因是砂轮本身的不均衡性，即砂轮包
含大量分布不均匀的颗粒，导致砂轮内在不平衡。砂轮安装偏心，砂轮宽度不一致，柄轴不平衡，
以及冷却剂被吸入砂轮等因素也可能加剧砂轮的不平衡。考虑到所有这些因素，即使精心建立的初
始平衡也不会维持很长时间。此外，由于磨损和修整的原因，砂轮的转动动力学总是在不断变化。
由于这些原因的存在，人们很早就认识到砂轮的动态平衡是生产过程中很重要的一个环节。

平衡头包含两个电动马达、变速箱和校正砝码。 可使用 28 毫米至 175 毫米的主轴孔。
前端和后端配置的接触式和非接触式变速器是选项，可提供 300-30,000rpm 的工作速度。
该系统是使用 SBS SB-5500 模块化控制器的控制器，用于研磨间隙触摸检测和防止碰撞的声发射监控可集成到天平头中，以实现良好的研磨过程控制。
安装 SBS 内部自动平衡器可消除砂轮造成的工艺变化，并可提供：
* 减少颤抖和磨损
* 改善零件几何形状；圆度、跳动和磨损 *
* 改善表面光洁度 *
* 延长车轮和梳妆台寿命*
* 延长主轴寿命*
* 更高的切削速度和生产率*
* 节省时间*
The SBS Internal, 'In-Spindle' or 'Spindle Type' automatic balancer is designed to be mounted into a bore within the grinding machine spindle. Integrating into the spindle provides mechanical optimisation and space saving.
The Balance Head contains two electric motors, gearboxes & correction weights. Spindle bores ranging from 28mm - 175mm can be utilised. Contact & non-contact transmission in front & rear side configurations are options, providing operating speeds from 300 - 30,000rpm.
The system is controller using the SBS SB-5500 modular controller, and acoustic emission monitoring for grinding gap touch detection and crash prevention can be integrated into the balance head for optimum grinding process control.
Installing an SBS Internal automatic balancer removes variation in the process caused by the grinding wheel, and can provide:
*Reduction in chatter & grinding burn
*Improved part geometry; roundness, run-out & lobing
*Improved surface finish
*Increase in wheel & dresser life
*Extended spindle life
*Higher cutting speeds & productivity
*Time saving
